Yesterday, Toyota announced that it has decided to continue the vehicle production halt in Japan until March 22.
According to the statistics, the suspension of production has already cost Toyota some 40,000 cars. “A decision on when vehicle production will resume in Japan has yet to be made,” Toyota said in a written statement.
However, Toyota noted that it will resume production of replacement parts for vehicles already on market beginning today, March 17. The factory produced parts for export will restart on Monday, March 21.
