Ford Produced 400,000 Focus in Russia

With the launch of the new Focus, Ford says ready to attack most of the world market. Ford also said, is preparing plans to celebrate the successful construction of assembly plant in Vsevolozhsk near St. Petersburg, Russia.

Here, American car manufacturer are expected to launch in Russia market about 400,000 Ford Focus with safety features, quality and especially affordable.

"Ford has changed the perception of Russians on the Focus when it began production in 2002", Mark Ovenden, chairman and managing director of Ford in Russia said.

Ford will concentrate production the 2011 Focus 3-door, 4-door, 5-door and Wagon. Basis in Vsevolozhsk will use 2,700 workers, will work two shifts a day to produce about 300 cars per day.

Under the schedule, the current generation Ford Focus will end production later this year. Then, this plant will upgrade, repair, and continues to produce the new Focus.

Earlier, Ford had carried into production at Saarlouis Assembly Plant, southeast of Germany, production lines can assemble around 1,850 vehicles per day if operating at full capacity. In addition, Ford will put production lines in the U.S., China and Thailand.

2011 Ford Focus uses EcoBoost 1.6-liter engine or 2-liter combined with the 4WD system. Fuel consumption is about 6 liter/100 km, CO2 emission is 139 g/km. Sales price at about $ 20,000.
