At the Circuit de Catalunya on March 11, HRT has launched a new rally car. HRT said, to build a new rally car is not easy. Therefore, everything can not happen under the previous schedule.
According to HRT, the F111 is equipped with chassis system by Geoff Willis (Technical Director) and Paul White (Vice Director of Design) built. Parallel with the chassis is Williams gearbox and Cosworth engine.
The two main racers of HRT are Tonio Liuzzi and Narain Karthikeyan. Hispania said, the new rally car will attend the two day test at Barcelona before the new season begins.
"The F111 is a great step forward for the racing team. We have lost a lot of time to build it. This is proof that teams are very determined. The F111 is a totally new rally car for season 2011, not old car from last season..." Mr Kolles, head of HRT racing team, proudly said.
