Ferrari FF was developed by competitive pressure from Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.
However, the FF still retains the 2-door layout, unlike the Rapide and Panamera which adopted 4-doors and a more generous rear seating area than the FF.
The FF use the first 4WD system of Ferrari, called 4RM. According to Ferrari, this system is only half the weight compared with traditional types of Lamborghini and Porsche are using, but still ensure perfect weight distribution (47% front axles-53% rear axles).
Ferrari FF equipped 6.3L V12 engine, maximum capacity of 651 hp at 8,000 rpm and 504 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. Maximum speed of the car is 335 km/h (208 mph) and acceleration time 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is 3.7 seconds (manufacturer parameters).
To increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, Ferrari to use HELE stop-start system. Fuel consumption is down to around 15.2 liter/100 km(15.5 mpg) combined and emissions are curbed at 360 g/km – impressive figures for a Ferrari.
Ferrari FF will go on sale later this year, with six standard paint colors. The selling price is not disclosed.
