According to rumors in recent times, Kia Rio Sedan will be unveiled at the 2011 New York Auto Show held in mid-April. Earlier, the hatchback version of the new generation Rio has officially unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Compared with previous version, the new Rio hatchback has improved significantly in size, at least in the Europe. It will also be offered in a sportier looking but less practical, 3-door body style. Meanwhile, the Rio sedan will most likely differ from the B-column and back, featuring a longer rear end with a more spacious boot.
In European market, the Rio hatchback will be offered with a choice of three- and four-cylinder engines, capacity of about 70-109 hp. Currently, Kia has not disclosed the specific engine choices for the North American version of Rio.
