ZF has just introduced the world's first 9-speed automatic gearbox. Currently, we still do not have much information on this gearbox, however ZF said, this is a new step in the production of motor.
The gearbox promises up to a 16% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the current 6-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the gearbox can work with start/stop systems, 4WD systems and hybrid powertrains. However, the transmission can only accommodate torque outputs from 280-480 Nm.
