At the 2011 Seoul Motor Show has just opened in South Korea, Hyundai introduced a concept named the Blue2 Hydrogen.

Those who closely follow the profile of Hyundai may realize that the name ‘Blue2’, which is read ‘Blue square’, is a combination of Hyundai’s sub eco-brand ‘Blue Drive’ and the number 2 from H2, the symbol for hydrogen gas.

The Blue2 equipped with 90kW electric motor (120 hp), the consumption of energy (hydrogen, of course) is 2.86 liters per 100 kilometers - pretty impressive if compared with conventional gasoline engine with the same capacity.

In addition, it is also equipped with low-resistance tires and alloy wheels which are designed to improve aerodynamic performance.

Hyundai describes the new design is sport and oriented future, with a similar style interior and exterior, a unique infotainment system operated by a Motion Sensor Moustick, a haptic wheel and motion sensor that respond to the driver’s touch and hand movements.

The dashboard has an asymmetric design while Hyundai says that the Blue2 used a variety of eco-friendly materials.
