Chevrolet - Record Breaking Sales

April 18, GM has officially announced its sales. Accordingly, the first quarter of 2011 witnessed strong growth of Chevrolet after a long time reduced drastically. This result did not surprise many people after manufacturers started reporting their sales in the first quarter of this year.

Two years after GM announced the bankruptcy, GM's leading brand sold worldwide with a total of 1,100,000 cars, up 15% than the first three months of 2010.


Chevrolet's best market is the U.S. market, which has sold 416,505 cars in the first three months of this year. In addition, a number of preferred markets such as China accounted for total of 159,303 cars. Among the best-selling design must include the Chevrolet Cruze with 150,652 cars sold. Also, the Cruze has become the leading model of American brand on the world market.

"This is a great stepping stone to launch Chevrolet's Centennial", Joel Ewanick, GM's marketing director said. "Our results in the first quarter of 2011 are a clear indication that consumers are very close to our product line, which only happens when you actually listen to customer comments".

"Chevrolet has developed and formed close links with consumers in major markets throughout South America, Europe and Asia. We look forward to strengthening this relationship when we introduced the Chevrolet came to Korea".
