Like the GT Coupe, Audi R8 Spyder GT will be equipped with 5.2-liter V10 engine, capacity of 552 hp and a top speed of 310 km/h (reduction of about 10 km/h than the Coupe). The power of this engine will be transmitted to the four wheels via the R-Tronic 6-speed gearbox.
Although all-wheel drive, the R8 GT Spyder should have the feel of a rear wheel drive, thanks to a 15/85 percent torque split between front/rear wheels.
The R8 Spyder GT's weight will drop about 95 kg compared with the GT Coupe due to a carbon fiber liftback, fixed rear-wind, upgraded brakes, reduced sound deadening and a new front windshield. As expected, the Audi R8 Spyder GT will be launched next year.
