Volkswagen has introduced the Beetle R concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Outside, the concept features an aggressive front fascia, a front lip spoiler, a ventilated hood, LED daytime running lights, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin comes with sport seats upholstered in black Nappa leather, a revised instrument cluster and unique instrument gauges. There are also aluminum pedals and special floor mats.
Details are limited, but Volkswagen said, the Beetle has a performance potential similar to the Golf R and Scirocco R.
