Frankfurt 2011: Ford Fiesta ST concept
Ford has revealed the Fiesta ST in concept form at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Outside, the concept comes with an aerodynamic body kit, new front and rear fascias, side skirts, a lowered sports suspension, dual rear exhaust and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin features Recaro sport seats and high contrast trim.
The Fiesta ST is equipped by a 1.6-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h. CO2 emissions of less than 140 g/km.
“The Fiesta has a rich history of high-performance models so a new ST performance model is a logical next step in our performance vehicle strategy for our global small cars,” said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development.
