Last April, the 2012 Nissan Tiida hatchback has officially launched at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. As promised, the new Tiida began to be distributed in China in May, 2011, priced from 105,300 to 156,800 yuan (approximately $16,241 to $24,185). After China, the Tiida will appear in 130 other markets worldwide, from now until 2014.
The 2012 Tiida is equipped with two engine choices, including the 1.6-liter with 126 horsepower and turbocharged DIG 1.6-liter with 190 horsepower from the Juke, along with a 6-speed manual gearbox or CVT.
When present in the market, the 2012 Nissan Tiida is a direct competitor of the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Volkswagen Lavida, Peugeot 307 and the Hyundai Elantra.
