Hyundai and Chevrolet are the two brands won in April. Hyundai laid claim to two slots on the top 10 list - the first time the automaker has achieved this feat - for its redesigned 2011 Hyundai Sonata and Elantra. 2011 Hyundai Elantra with sales up 128.8% in April, overcome the familiar models like the Ford Focus, Fusion or Nissan Altima.
Meanwhile, for the first time, the Chevrolet Cruze joins the top 10 ranks with 25,160 vehicles sold for the month but it still could not overcome the Honda Civic. The Ford F-Series remained the best-selling vehicle in America.
This is the first time in at least 12 months that Japanese automakers didn’t control at least half of the places on the top 10 list.
