2012 Ford Ranger Released

Ford has just released some new details of the 2012 Ranger.

Available in three body variants (the Double, Super and Regular), the model is 5.4 m long, 1.85 m wide and 1.85 m tall. Ford says that the 2012 Ranger has a total weight up to 1,340 kg and can tow 3,350 kg, as well as can go through a water of 800 mm in depth.


Engine options include: a 2.2-liter TDCi diesel with 150 hp and 375 Nm or a 3.2-liter TDCi diesel with 200 hp and 470 Nm. It is mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Customers will also get some safety features like the ESP, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Trailer Sway Control, Adaptive Load Control, Emergency Brake Assist and Roll-Over Mitigation.

The 2012 Ford Ranger has a starting price of £15,515 (€17,700) and £25,040 (€28,600) for the top-of-the-line model.
