According to Green Car, the model will likely be launched in 2013 as a 2014 model. The production version will feature "a Generation 1.5 Voltec" powertrain that would offer better performance and efficiency than the Chevrolet Volt.
Previously, the Converj was approved for production last January but GM eventually reversed that decision.
