Audi will introduce more RS models in the U.S.

Audi has acknowledged that the company will have to introduce more RS models in the U.S. market to meet the competition from BMW's M division and Mercedes-Benz AMG.

"The technical capabilities of the Audi brand are perfectly distilled in the RS models," says President of Audi of America, Johan de Nysschen. "For the past few years, American sports car enthusiasts have pleaded with us to make the marque available here."

Next month, Audi TT RS will appear at U.S. dealerships and the 2012 Audi RS5, which the company says will directly compete with the BMW M3 Coupe.
