Ferrari has officially unveiled the 458 Spider.
The 458 Spider features a folding hard-top roof which deploys in just 14 seconds and a reduction of 25 kg in weight over a soft-top option. The hard-top roof was designed to fit with the engine bay without compromising aerodynamics of the car.
Like the 458 Italia coupe, power comes from a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 PS (425 kW / 563 bhp) and 540 Nm of torque. The engine is linked with a dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission through the E-Diff, integrated with the F1-Trac traction control and ABS. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 320 km/h.
