An electric Aston Martin? Surely fans of Aston Martin are not very interested in this plan. However, Aston Martin is considering an electric version for one of their models. Instead of cult names such as the Vantage or DB9, the car was chosen as the Cygnet.

According to CAR Magazine, Aston Martin is developing on a electric-version of the Cygnet. Thus, the company can improve fuel economy for the Cygnet.


The Cygnet will be equipped by a 1.3-liter engine, capacity of 97 hp, allowing the car to hit a top speed of 169 km/h. Aston Martin will produce around 2,000 units with prices starting at $ 49,253. The Cygnet is only sold to those who currently own an Aston Martin.
