Volvo V60 Gasoline Plug-in Hybrid For U.S.

According to a recent report, Volvo confirmed the U.S. will receive a plug-in hybrid version of the V60. But it won't be quite the same as the European model.

Unfortunately, the diesel engine will be dropped and replaced by a petrol unit. Currently, the specifications were not disclosed, but we think, the American model should retain the 12 kWh lithium-ion battery, electric rear axle and AWD system.

A launch date hasn't been set, but it's looking like late 2013 or 2014.
