Shortly after annulling the Altima hybrid, Nissan is likely to come up with a redesigned Altima sometime next year. Details are scarce, but very likely, the variant will be available as a hybrid that features a 4-cylinder engine, a CVT transmission and an electric motor, powered by a lithium-ion battery.
As we have reported, Nissan recently axed the current Altima hybrid because it used Toyota technology and the new model is slated to adopt a hybrid system based on the one used in the Infiniti M35h.
