Audi has announced the 2012 TT-RS will go on sale within the next few weeks with prices starting at $56,850 (excluding destination charges) when it arrives in United States.
Costly roughly $10,000 more than the TT-S, the TT RS is equipped by a turbocharged 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine with 355 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is channeled to all four wheels through Audi’s quattro system and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car accelerates from 0-96 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
Other highlights include an aggressive body kit, a fixed rear wing, a dual exhaust system, bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels and exterior mirror housings in matte aluminum. Inside, there's brushed aluminum trim, leather seat coverings, brushed aluminum interior inlays and RS-branded door sills.
